Partners-in-Ministry-in-Liberia (PIMIL)
ABOUT US
Partners-in-Ministry-in-Liberia is organized in the United States through St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Westerville, Ohio. Donations are received and then transmitted to the Bishop of The Episcopal Church of Liberia. The Diocesan Administrator is responsible for the distribution of tuition. Most administrative expenses are covered by the Oversight Committee, allowing nearly 100% of donor contributions to be sent to Liberia. St. Matthew's has a 501(c)3 status. Tax statements are sent to donors in January.
In 2008, sixty-one students were supported by PIMIL. Since PIMIL was established in 2005, the number of supported students has steadily increased. Student progress is monitored by the Oversight Committee and student communication to Sponsors is forwarded when available.
