Construction of the 9th Grade Classroom

Due to a very generous $5,000 infrastructure donation from St. John's Episcopal Church in Worthington, Ohio, PIMIL was able to enter into an agreement to help St. Philip Episcopal School in Zwedru City construct a new 9th-grade classroom. The new room was desperately needed, as the sixty 9th-grade students previously met in the church's small, lay-readers' dressing room. With a grant from PIMIL, the school has completed building a spacious, well-ventilated classroom, with the capability of adding a second floor above it in the future. The classroom is now being used by the students for the second semester of the 2021-2022 school year.

Special Infrastructure Project: St. Philip 9th Grade Classroom

The school shared in the cost of the project by providing professional supervisory personnel and technicians, all necessary labor, and local materials such as sand and crushed rock. The Rev. Fr. Paul S. Anthony, Priest-in-Charge and Principal of St. Philip Episcopal Church and School, sent these photos showing the construction progress over the past several months. The school also attached a plaque to the new building to gratefully acknowledge St. John's contribution. The Lord's blessings be upon the students and teachers in their new space, and all PIMIL's contributors!
